Most households have that one recipe book that is used and relied upon time and time again. I thought I'd create my own one to add not just recipes, but cooking tips also.
I wanted it to have that scrap book effect so I purchased this plain book from Ikea as they have such a nice variety at affordable prices. I made sure the book was dark coloured, as I expect it to get dirty.
If you come across a nice recipe from a magazine or newspaper or from a friend or family you can just cut it out and stick it in. I think the nice thing about this is it doesn't have to look neat, I wanted it to have that homely appeal, like mamas special recipes that you can build over time. :)
