Okay lovelies!! I have been going crazy on products this month, for someone who rarely shops for makeup anymore I have done pretty well. :) I think this will do me for the next year or so.
The first product is one I discovered while watching one of essiebuttons videos. My hair does tend to get greasy very quickly around the roots while the rest of the hair looks clean. I wanted to try this out to avoid washing my hair all every other day. I went to Sainsburys and found that they have a fantastic offer. Although it show that it has been reduced to £2.30 from £4.69. The till scans it as £1.15 !!!!! I bought two because you can't go wrong with that price.
So I sprayed this a little on the roots and massaged it in and teased my hair a little. I found that this would not work if if brushed it too much rather I teased it with my fingers and not only does it get rid of the oil but it also gives me volume as well. It leaves me with a textured look which I love with my curly hair.
I purchased these Baby lips from Sainsburys and they were priced at £3.00 each. They are super moisturising and I love the cute packaging. My lips are alway chapped so these come in handy.
I though the red and pink ones would give some colour to the lips but only slightly. They smell yum as well. :)
1. Intense Care smells like marzipan.
2. Cherry me smells fruity
3. Hydrate smells like oranges and tangerines
4. Pink Punch smells like tropical fruit
I Purchased two Sleek products from Superdrug but you can also find them on the Boots website.
This is the Sleek Lip 4 Palette in Ballet and Sleek Make up Brow Kit in Dark. Both were £8.99.
The name Sleek really describes the packaging, it's a black matte finish which I love, sometimes simple is best.
I havent yet tried the lip palette partly because I have quite a few other lip products that I have been trying out and also because it looks perfect and I don't want to touch it lol.
I tried the brow palette out today and it's great, the cream so easy to apply with the cute brushes and the shadow allows me to set it. It has a teeny pair of tweezers which I guess you could take with you while travelling. I love how they have a mirror as well.
Mac has released its big Christmas Collection, eye and lip palettes and brushes. I chose the Nocturnals Lip Gloss in Nude which come in a box of four. I love the black, gold and white packaging, it just looks so glamorous and so in for winter.
1. Phiff, 2. Boy Bait, 3. Over Indulgence 4, Richly Rivered.
A sales assistant in Superdrug helped me pick the right colour for the Maybelline Fit me anti shine foundation stick. I am in the shade Natural Beige 220. What I like is I can use it as a concealer as well because of it's creamy texture. I have found it very difficult to blend in to the skin when my face is not moisturised enough but otherwise it does look great and very natural. I like to set this with my SheerCover mineral powder.
I am in love with Mac lipsticks and I don't know why I never bought any sooner. I think maybe the hassle of trying to find the right one put me off. But the girls working at Mac are just great and so helpful. I told them what I was looking for and they cleaned so many lippys with alcohol for me to try them on and I chose these beauties! :)
1. Mehr from the middle eastern collection Matte
2. All Fired Up Retro matte
3. Please me Matte
Here are the swatches, I might add lip swatches once my lips are better. My favourite has to be Mehr, I feel like this was made for me. hehe
I was looking for a another gold cream eyeshadow that was easy to apply and I found it at Sainsburys for £6.99. It's strange because it doesn't have the colour written on it but it's gold as you can see.
Cream to Powder Texture Color Edition 24H By Bourjois Paris
Here is what it looked like when I applied it with Estee Lauders Eyeshadow In Berry Ice, very subtle.
This is the Select MoistureCover By Mac in NC30. I needed something that would look natural and be very lightweight in texture. This stuff is amazing, really lifts my eyes up and hides those dark circles. I still don't know the correct way of applying this so I just keep practicing and I'm waiting for my Bubbi Brushes which I hope will help give me a better finish. I'm not too keen on the applicator because I think of it like a mascara; it wont last long. I would have preferred a pump applicator like the full coverage one.
So this is my first OPI Nail Polish. I will make a another post on my nail polish collection with swatches maybe. This one is Grand Canyon Sunset a gorgeous fleshy colour but I only realised when I got home that it has a slight pearly finish which I'm not particularly into.
Thats it for my haul, this month. I'm waiting on my Bubbi Brushes hopefully I'll get them soon so I can post a review on them. Have you purchased any of these products? if so what did you think of them? let me know I'd love to hear from you. :) Check out my Instagram on withlovewithlove or email me. :)
post me your links to your blogs so I can check them out too!
Thanks!
